A FUTURE OF CELEBRATIONS!

Learn more about where we’ve been, where we’re going and how you can be a part of our story!

OUR HISTORY

WB Liquors has helped Texans across the state celebrate their special occasions for more than 55 years. As a family-owned business, we began with a simple desire: to help our customers make the good times even better with convenient locations and a great variety of liquor, beer and wine – along with fast, personalized and expert-level service you’d expect of a neighborhood store. Today, that simple vision still defines our business and it’s what keeps our customers coming back.

WB LIQUORS TODAY

At some liquor stores, you almost need a map and GPS to navigate around their crowded aisles. Not at WB Liquors. We're family-owned and family-operated. Our knowledge and personable staff offers recommendations and advice: what wine to bring to the dinner party, which scotch to gift your friend, what craft beer to try next. It's all with the aim of taking your celebration to the next level. We have the beverages, the recipes, the mixers, and the ideas to make it easy for you to break from the routine and explore new, exciting tastes. It's all part of our tradition of helping customers make their fun and festive times as special as possible.

OUR WB PROMISE

The celebrations will never end, that's why WB Liquors plans to be here for all the celebrations to come. We will continue to give back to our communities, provide great customer service, and seek out new ways to innovate and help our customers celebrate their sepcial occasions.

OUR CULTURE

The WB Liquors Way describes the values, behaviors, principles, and practices that are the foundation of our unique culture. The following 26 Fundamentals explain how we relate to each other, our customers, and our vendors. The WB Liquors Way is who we are, and it drives our extraordinary success. Let's celebrate an amazing culture!
1. “CELEBRATE” YOUR CUSTOMERS.

In all situations focus on the customer and give them more than what they expect. Customers are the reason we exist. Put serving the customer at the center of everything you do.
2. DO THE RIGHT THING,  ALWAYS.

Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to doing the right thing in every action you take and in every decision you make, especially when no one’s looking. Always tell the truth, no matter the consequences. If you make a mistake, own up to it, apologize, and make it right.
3. MAKE TEAM FIRST.

It’s not about you. Don’t let your ego or personal agenda get in the way of doing what’s best for the team. Be there for each other and be willing to step into another role or help a co-worker when that’s what’s required for success. Make sure every decision is based on advancing company goals.
4. BE A FANATIC ABOUT
RESPONSE TIME.

Respond to questions and concerns quickly, whether it’s in person, on the phone, or by e-mail. This includes simply acknowledging that we got
the question and we’re “on it,” as well as keeping those involved continuously updated on the status of outstanding issues.

5. CREATE A GREAT IMPRESSION.

Create a tone of friendliness and warmth with every interaction. The appearance of our stores and employees makes a similar statement about the quality of our service and our company as a whole. Make sure we’re always putting our best foot forward.
6. DELIVER OUTSTANDING SERVICE.

It’s all about the experience. With every interaction, do the little things, as well as the big things, that surprise people. Create the “WOW” factor that turns customers into loyal, raving fans. This also includes co-workers and vendors.
7. EMBRACE CHANGE AND GROWTH.

Don’t be satisfied with the status quo. Get outside your comfort zone. Be excited by the possibilities that change and growth bring. Be flexible. “Because we’ve always done
it that way” is not a reason. Keep getting better.
8. PITCH IN WHEREVER NECESSARY.

Be willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done plus a little bit more, even when it is not in your job description. It’s the extra mile that separates the average person from the superstar. Show initiative and lead by example. Be a superstar.
9. BE POSITIVE.

You have the power to choose your attitude. Choose to be upbeat, optimistic, and enthusiastic. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Your attitude is contagious. Spread optimism and positive energy.
10. “CELEBRATE” SUCCESS.

Recognizing people doing things right is more effective than pointing out when they do things wrong. Regularly extend meaningful acknowledgment and appreciation in all directions of the company.
11. BE A LIFELONG LEARNER.

Seek out and take advantage of every opportunity to gain more knowledge, to increase your skills, and to become a greater expert. Be excited about learning, growing, and sharing with each other.
12. PAY ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS.

Missing just one detail can have an enormous impact on the business. Be a fanatic about accuracy and precision. The goal is to get things right, not simply to get them done. Double-check your work. Get the details right the first time.
13. DELIVER RESULTS.

While effort is important, our business runs on results. Follow-up on everything and take responsibility to get the job done. Understand your goals, track your progress, and hold yourself accountable for achieving those results.
14. LISTEN TO UNDERSTAND.

Give others your undivided attention. Be present and engaged. Minimize the distractions and let go of the need to agree or disagree. Listen with care and empathy. Above all, listen to understand instead of listening just to respond.
15. SPEAK STRAIGHT.

Speak honestly in a way that helps to make progress. Say what you mean, and be willing to ask questions, share ideas, or raise issues that may cause conflict when it’s necessary for team success. Be courageous enough to say what needs to be said. Address issues directly with those who are involved or affected. Stay factual and relevant.
16. “BRING IT” EVERY DAY.

Have a passion for what we do and be fully engaged. Make the most of each day by approaching every task with energy, focus, purpose, and enthusiasm. Work with a sense of urgency to get things done.
17. GET CLEAR ON EXPECTATIONS.

Create clarity and avoid misunderstandings by discussing expectations upfront. Set deadlines and ask questions when you’re not clear on what they expect of you. Establish action items, responsibilities, and due dates.
18. BE PROCESS-ORIENTED.

Look to create highly effective and repeatable processes for every aspect of your work. And then turn those processes into habits to achieve consistent results. Be especially mindful of our industry regulations, as
these are outright requirements for doing business.
19. TREASURE, PROTECT, AND PROMOTE OUR REPUTATION.

We’re all responsible for, and benefit from, our company’s image and reputation. Consider how your actions affect our collective reputation, and be a proud ambassador for the company.
20. FOLLOW-UP EVERYTHING.

Record a follow-up date for every action and take responsibility to see that it gets completed. We get paid to complete things, not simply to put them in motion.
21. LOOK AHEAD AND ANTICIPATE.

Solve problems before they happen by anticipating future needs and address them in advance. Preventing issues is always better than fixing them.
22. ALWAYS ASK WHY.

Don’t accept anything as “face value” if it doesn’t make sense to you. Be curious and question what you don’t understand. Healthy, vigorous debate creates better solutions. There’s no better question than “Why?” Never stop asking it.
23. GET THE FACTS.

Don’t make assumptions. There’s always more to the story than it first appears. Gather the facts before jumping to conclusions or making judgments. Be curious about what other information might give you a more complete picture.
24. HONOR COMMITMENTS.

There’s no better way to earn people’s trust than to be true to your word. Do what you say you’re going to do, when you say you’re going to do it. This includes being on time for all phone calls, appointments, meetings, and promises. Allow extra time for surprises and delays, and don’t let these become excuses.
25. COMMUNICATE
TO BE UNDERSTOOD.

Know your audience. Write and speak in a way that they can understand. Avoid using internal lingo, acronyms, and industry jargon. Use the simplest possible explanations.
26. “LET’S CELEBRATE”.

Keep things fun. Don’t take things personally or take yourself too seriously. Keep perspective. Laugh every day. Let’s CELEBRATE every experience, every moment!
