Thanksgiving dinner inspired cocktails

What’s better than the dinner spread and comradery at Thanksgiving dinner? Relaxing with your loved ones and enjoying some cocktails the day after! Whether you’re spending the day unwinding, putting up the Christmas tree or doing some Black Friday shopping, we have the perfect cocktails that will keep you in the holiday spirit. The best part is that they use many of the same ingredients as the previous nights’ Thanksgiving dinner. So, skip the trip to the store and indulge your taste buds with these tasty cocktails!

Cranberry Spritzer


INGREDIENTS
2 oz. Reposado Tequila (recommended: Hornitos Reposado)
1 oz. Orange Juice
1/2 oz. Cranberry Sauce
1/2 oz. Aperol
Splash of Water (optional)
Champagne, to top
Cranberries for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
Take your leftover cranberry sauce and add a splash of water to dilute it until it is a thick liquid. Add all of the ingredients, except the champagne and cranberries, to a shaking tin and fill with ice. Shake for 5 seconds and strain into a tall glass. Top with a small amount of champagne and garnish with the fresh cranberries.

Pumpkin Old-Fashioned

INGREDIENTS
1 ½ oz. Bourbon whiskey (recommended: Jack Daniels Bourbon)
½ oz. Triple Sec
2 tbsp. Pumpkin puree
1 oz. Maple syrup
Orange Peel Twist for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
Start by combining the pumpkin puree, bourbon, syrup, and triple sec in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into an old-fashioned ice with a large ice cube or ball. Garnish with the orange peel twist.

Apple Cider Sangria

INGREDIENTS
1 bottle White Wine (recommended: Kendall Jackson Chardonnay)
2 ½ cups Fresh Apple Cider
1 cup Club Soda
½ cup Ginger Brandy
3 Apples, chopped
3 Pears, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS
Start by placing the chopped apples and pears in a large pitcher. Fill the pitcher with the rest of the ingredients and stir. Refrigerate for an hour and then serve.

Candied Yam Gin Cocktail

INGREDIENTS
1 ½ oz. Gin (recommended: Texas Spirits Gin)
1 oz. Pureed Sweet Potatoes
½ oz. Hazelnut liqueur
½ oz. Simple Syrup
½ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
Dash of Vanilla Extract
Twist of Lemon

INSTRUCTIONS
Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into an ice-filled glass and garnish with the lemon twist.
