September is National Bourbon Month, so what better way to celebrate than with some of our favorite, classic bourbon cocktails? Tried and true, these are some of the best ways to stir, shake, and sip bourbon!

Manhattan

Ingredients: 

Instructions:

  1. Stir ingredients over ice until chilled, about 30 seconds.
  2. Strain into chilled coupe glass. 
  3. Garnish with cherry & enjoy!

Bourbon Strawberry Iced Tea

Ingredients: 

 

Instructions:

  1. Add the strawberries and lemon juice into a shaker and gently muddle.
  2. Add the bourbon and simple syrup, add ice, and shake until well-chilled.
  3. Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice.
  4. Top with unsweetened iced tea.
  5. Garnish with a mint sprig and skewered blueberries and strawberries.

Old-Fashioned

Ingredients: 


Instructions:

  1. Muddle the sugar cube and bitters with one bar spoon of water at the bottom of a chilled rocks glass. (If using simple syrup, combine bitters and one bar spoon of syrup.) Add rye or bourbon. Stir.
  2. Add one large ice cube, or three or four smaller cubes. Stir until chilled and properly diluted, about 30 seconds. Slip orange twist on the side of the cube.

Maple-Bourbon Smash

Ingredients: 

 

Instructions:

  1. In a rocks glass, combine the maple syrup with the orange juice, lemon juice and bitters. 
  2. Add the orange wheel and lightly muddle. 
  3. Add the bourbon and stir well. 
  4. Fill the glass with ice and top with the chilled seltzer.

Ingredients: 


Instructions:

  1. Pour ingredients into a mixing glass and fill with cracked ice. 
  2. Stir well for 20 seconds and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. 
  3. Garnish with a cherry or a twist of orange peel.
